| The BVI may not have an extensive museum but it does have a rich past and several buildings and monuments remain signposting this heritage. A number of buildings relate to the production of sugar and rum and while West Indian architecture is typified by wooden buildings with gingerbreading such as The Penn House, Main Street c. 1911. On Virgin Gorda there is a 19th Copper Mine which is currently undergoing restoration. Tin miners travelled from England and the design closely follows that of Cornish Tin mines. | ||||||||||||
